Light and Dark

Our topic this term is Light and Dark, we will be covering different celebrations such as Bonfire night, Diwali and Christmas. Children will be learning about the Hindu story of Rama and Sita and the Christian Christmas Story. This will enable the children to learn about the similarities and differences between different people, religions and places. There will be lots of crafts for the children to be involved in, ranging from using junk modelling to make fireworks and salt dough to create Diwali candle holders. With the lead up to Christmas we are hoping to take the children into town to see the Christmas lights, where they will also have chance to post their letters to Father Christmas. To finish off our busy term the children will be performing in our Nativity.
