Early Years

Welcome to the Early Years Foundation Stage

In the Early Years Foundation Stage, we believe that children learn best when they are happy, interested and supported by an excellent learning environment and staff that are positive, caring and understand how to move children’s learning forward.

Play underpins everything that we do in the EYFS. Through play the staff assess the children’s stage of development and plan the provision and exciting activities that will enable the children to make those next steps in learning.

In our school every child really matters. The staff know all the children very well and what will work best for each unique child. Every child has a key worker that takes special care of them and ensures that the provision is meeting their needs and allows them to flourish.

We use the development matters document to assess children’s stage of development and plan for their next steps. This can be found by clicking on the link below.
