Literacy:

In Literacy, we will be continuing the ‘Power of Reading’ book, ‘The Last Wild’ by Piers Torday. The sequence of lessons will be aiming:

  • To consider how particular situations make individuals behave as they do
  • To consider an imaginary future world
  • To consider the importance of stories in personal development

The book is a futuristic story which will provide a great stimulus for story writing as well as non-fiction reports and fact files.

Our GPS will include:

Adverbial phrases

Relative and possessive Pronouns

Prefixes / Suffixes

Use of commas

The use of semi-colons

Investigate how composers use music to convey movement.

Competitive games (rounders and cricket) to develop throwing and catching skills.
