Our school community regularly fundraises for different charities. This year, pupils have raised money for:
The school raises money in a number of different ways but successful recent events have included a non-uniform character day, a Christmas Jumper Day and an enterprise week and school fair.
Pupils have set up a dedicated committee to fundraise for Women’s Aid which is a national charity supporting women and children in crisis. OSPA’s fundraising goes to the Grimsby branch. Committee members hold regular pupil led meetings to discuss fundraising ideas and put them into action. For example, the committee are currently collecting biscuit wrappers which can be exchanged for 2p and are organising a tray bake sale for our Parents/Carers Evening.
Committee members were recently invited to the Women’s Aid International Women’s Day event where they released balloons in support of families using Women’s Aid services.
